The First Tee of Connecticut offers several programs during the off-season (November – March) in order for participants to continue their involvement with the program or to introduce new participants to the program.
All programs are hosted at the David & Geri Epstein Learning Center in Cromwell unless otherwise noted.

NEW in 2020, OPEN HOUSE in Fairfield County and New Haven County, supported by our friends at Golf Lounge 18. Come meet our coaches, learn about our spring, summer & fall programming outdoors at Fairchild Wheeler GC & Alling Memorial GC and make some swings on Trackman simulators.

Golf Around the World
Enjoy the opportunity to play golf while there’s snow on the ground with The First Tee of Connecticut’s TrackMan 4 simulator. Participants may reserve starting times in 2 hour blocks to interact with other young people and play at some of the finest courses in the world!
Open to all active (registered for at least one 2019 program) participants.
Simulator starting times are available to ALL participants and their families (limit 1 family member per active participant).

Small Group Swing Classes
During the months of January, February and March, Par, Birdie and Eagle Level participants will have the opportunity to register for multiple day programs with Coach Lindsey to work on golf fundamentals.
Coach Lindsey Hansen (Coach in Cromwell & Waterbury, 2000 CT PGA Golf Professional of the Year and 2019 CT PGA Hall of Fame inductee) will lead small group sessions (class size of three) that focus on swing fundamentals. Each program will include three, hour-long sessions utilizing hitting nets and the High Definition Golf Simulator in the David & Geri Epstein Learning Center in Cromwell. These sessions are intended for participants who have reached the Par Level, are at least 9 years old and aspire to take their game to the next level. The registration fee of $50 will include attendance in three sessions with Coach Lindsey.
Registration will be available prior to each program on a first-come, first-served basis through our online registration process.

In the event of a cancelled session a make-up session may be scheduled at the regularly scheduled time the week immediately following the 3rd scheduled session.
During the winter months The First Tee of Connecticut will partner with schools across the state to introduce the game of golf and its inherent Core Values to young people through physical education classes at nearly 160 schools through the National School Program and In-School Program.
